Motoring Offences – Fixed Fees (Magistrates’ Court)

Our Fixed Fees Include:

  • A Pre-Court Consultation
  • Reviewing The Evidence
  • Advising On Plea And Likely Outcomes
  • Preparing Mitigation Or Defence Strategy
  • Representation At The Agreed Hearing
  • Follow-Up Advice After The Hearing

Most cases conclude:

  • Guilty Pleas: Same Day
  • Not Guilty Pleas: Trial Within 6–12 Weeks
  • Exceptional Hardship / Special Reasons: Usually One Hearing

Legal Aid

Legal aid is not usually available for motoring offences unless:

  • There is a real risk of imprisonment
  • The case is exceptionally serious
  • You meet the financial eligibility criteria

  • Motoring Fees

    Guilty Plea – Single Hearing (No Trial)
    • Within London: £850 – £1,500 + VAT
    • Outside London: £1,200 – £2,000 + VAT
    Work includes case preparation, consultation, representation at court where concluded on the same day.
    Not Guilty Plea – Trial Listed (Up to 1 Day)
    • Within London: £1,750 – £2,500 + VAT
    • Outside London: £2,500 – £3,000 + VAT
    Work includes first hearing, trial preparation and representation at your trial (up to one day – Most hearings are not over a day)
    Additional Hearings

    (Case management hearing, sentencing, applications, adjourned hearings, etc.)

    • Within London: £750 + VAT
    • Outside London: £900 + VAT

    • Review of prosecution evidence
    • Advice on plea
    • Preparation of mitigation or defence
    • Representation at the agreed hearing
    • Written confirmation of the outcome
    • Advice on Appeal
    What Is NOT Included

    These fees do not cover:

    • Expert reports
    • Barrister fees (if instructed)
    • Travel expenses
    • Interpreter fees
    • Additional hearings not listed above
    • Trials lasting more than one day
    • VAT may be payable on disbursements depending on the supplier
